Funded programs increase bilingual, culturally-relevant care (screening, diagnosis, education and treatment) for Latinos affected by chronic stress, mental or behavioral disorders or other major health common conditions that reduce the quality and length of life.

  • Family Counseling Center of St. Paul’s Church

    Provides bilingual and culturally-sensitive family counseling services to Latino families in the Wilmington area. Expansion of qualified counseling staff in new office space supports care and education to reduce multiple stressors experienced.

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness, Delaware (NAMI Delaware)

    Hispanic Services Initiative has expanded education, referral and support services to people affected by mental illness throughout Delaware. Bilingual staff provide services, reduce stigma, access to care.

    Engages county-wide health nonprofits and health systems to identify needs and collaborative approaches to improve family health. School-based mental/behavioral health committee increasing programs (anti-bullying, drug/alcohol addiction and suicide prevention) and mental health care access –focus on Latino children.
