Nemours’ BrightStart! Dyslexia Initiative

Nemours’ BrightStart! Dyslexia Initiative is identifying community partner agencies in planning for screening of 4 year-olds for risks of reading difficulties using its mobile classroom. From 2010 to 2013, assessment and reading programs for both English- and Spanish-speaking pre-kindergartners as well as teacher and childcare provider training is being conducted. The success of this program over the last 5 years in the Jacksonville area caught the attention of the Arsht Cannon Fund – who wanted it for Delaware’s children.
