Girls Inc. of Delaware

The Arsht-Cannon Fund partnered with Girls Inc. of Delaware to bring the national Latino initiative to Delaware in 2012 and is now expanding its programs for girls throughout Kent and Sussex counties in multiple locations, often as after-school programs. Girls Inc., a high-impact youth service nonprofit, inspires girls ages 6 to 18 to be strong, smart and bold, by helping them navigate gender, economic, and social barriers. Programs focus on achieving academically, living healthy and physically active lives, managing money, navigating media messages, and building interests in science, technology, engineering, and math using fun, hands-on, exploratory activities that are culturally relevant.
